Welcome to the Angel and Diesel website. My son and I are celebrating the release of our first book “Angel and Diesel, A Change in Family Plans”. With a focus on family values, the book showcases one of the main characters, Diesel, who is determined to bring some extra fun to the McQueen family’s Saturday plans. While the book is written for kids of all ages it is designed for reading levels K-1, but is suitable for parents to read to pre-K children. The book contains colorful illustrations that will grab the attention of everyone. This will be the first of a series of books featuring Angel and Diesel as the stars. The characters of Angel and Diesel are based on our two loving dogs who have been by my side throughout my fight with lymphoma.

As a follicular lymphoma survivor, I can attest to the power of your help and prayers. Without faith and adequate funding for new research, I would not be alive today. Since 2004, when I was diagnosed as a Stage IV-B f-NHL patient, I have undergone the following treatment regimens: PACE chemotherapy (8 months), RICE chemotherapy (4 months), autologous bone marrow transplant with total body radiation (18 month recovery process), and Rituxan (24 months). In order to stay alive, I will need to undergo an autonomous stem cell transplant in the near future. Many of the treatments I have been through were not available 10 years ago. But none are a cure. We need to find a cure so that our future generations will not have to endure the pain and suffering that many patients, like myself, have endured.
